Email and interactive examples

Contact buttons open your own email application. Nothing is sent to us until you send an email. Your email provider also handles that message under its own terms.

The question chooser and example controls run in your browser. We do not send your choices to a server or save them between visits. The sample records are fictional. There are no client uploads, user accounts, mailing-list sign-ups or payment facilities on this site. Please start with a short description of your question and do not email confidential datasets or sensitive personal information before we agree suitable arrangements.

Who receives information?

Information is accessible to authorised people working for the company and suppliers needed to operate the business, including website hosting, business email and IT providers. This website is hosted by Vercel. Hosting providers process technical request and security information; see Vercel’s privacy notice. We may share relevant records with professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or parties needed to establish or defend legal claims.

Where information is processed

Our providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where a transfer is restricted by UK data protection law, an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards are required. Contact us for details of the safeguards relevant to your information. This site does not promise UK-only storage. A client project’s hosting location and data-processing requirements must be agreed separately.

How long information is kept

Enquiry correspondence is kept for the time needed to answer your question and manage any resulting discussion. If no project proceeds, retention depends on whether the enquiry remains active, whether follow-up was requested and whether a record is needed to resolve a dispute. Relevant client records are retained for the relationship and for applicable accounting, legal and claims requirements afterwards. We assess these purposes when deciding whether a record is still needed rather than retaining everything indefinitely.

Technical logs and backup copies follow the relevant provider’s operational retention arrangements. Contact us if you need information about a particular record or want to request deletion.

Your rights and complaints

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need enough information to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; the law permits extensions in some cases.

Contact us using the email or postal address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first.

Client project data and changes

This notice covers website visitors and business contacts. Processing a client’s datasets requires a separate scope, appropriate security arrangements and, where we act as a processor, a data-processing agreement. Any project-specific privacy information will be provided where required. We will update this notice if the site’s data use changes.
